Bonds in New Zealand Government, Corporate & More
Invest in tradeable debt securities that provide steady income and potential capital gains. From ultra-safe government bonds to higher-yielding corporate bonds.
What are Bonds?
A bond is essentially an IOU. When you buy a bond, you're lending money to the issuer (government or company) in exchange for regular interest payments and the return of your principal at maturity.
Unlike term deposits, bonds can be traded on the secondary market, giving you liquidity before maturity. However, bond prices fluctuate with interest rate changes and credit conditions.
In New Zealand, you can invest in government bonds (considered risk-free), corporate bonds from major companies, and international bonds through various platforms.
